Hello! I’m Anzia Juvis Angweri, a Cameroonian software engineer, tech entrepreneur, and STEM advocate dedicated to leveraging technology to address pressing societal challenges, particularly in healthcare.

My Journey

My passion for technology was ignited during my early academic years, leading me to pursue a career where I could merge innovation with societal impact. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from The ICT University in Yaoundé, Cameroon, where I also minored in Information Systems and Networking. My academic path helped shape my problem-solving mindset and my ability to combine theory with action.

Key Projects

Throughout my career, I’ve led and contributed to several impactful projects:

  • IntelliBra: A smart bra solution that uses embedded ultrasound and AI to help with early breast cancer detection. This project was inspired by the need for accessible, affordable screening options for women in underserved communities. IntelliBra has received national and global recognition for its potential to revolutionize breast cancer diagnostics.

  • HND Pathfinder: A student-focused platform designed to guide learners in their academic and career journeys. It provides study materials, program insights, and decision-making tools — all geared toward empowering youth with information.

  • Pikup: A local delivery and logistics platform developed to make urban transport more efficient. Pikup helps businesses and individuals streamline their everyday deliveries, improving convenience and productivity.

  • Green App: A tech-driven solution promoting sustainable environmental practices. This application encourages recycling and supports eco-conscious behavior through digital engagement.

Awards and Recognitions

My work has been recognized both nationally and internationally:

  • Winner, Cameroon National Pitch Competition (February 2024): Our team’s innovative approach with IntelliBra earned us the top spot, allowing us to represent Cameroon at the global finals in Abu Dhabi.

  • 2nd Prize, Aspy Competition: Recognized for our mobile application for breast cancer detection, IntelliBra.

  • 3rd Prize, Hackathon Cameroon 2022: Awarded for our project “Mboawaste,” focusing on waste management solutions.

  • 3rd Prize, Girls in ICT Innovation Challenge 2023: Recognized for our project “Valor Tech,” a period tracker app to help track and manage the cycle of the female gender.

  • Honoree, ICT University Fellowship of Excellence Awards: Celebrated for my contributions to growth and innovation in technology.

  • Mobile Development:
    Highly skilled in developing cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and native Android apps with Kotlin and Java. I prioritize clean architecture, performance optimization, and responsive design to deliver smooth user experiences across devices.

  • Web Development:
    Proficient in both frontend and backend web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and powerful frameworks like Django and Node.js. I build scalable, secure web applications with strong API integration and intuitive user interfaces.

  • IoT and Embedded Systems:
    Experienced in prototyping and deploying embedded solutions using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices. I’ve built IoT systems for health diagnostics, smart monitoring, and automation, integrating hardware with cloud-based intelligence.

  • Cloud Platforms:
    Skilled in deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms like Firebase, AWS IoT, and Microsoft Azure. This includes real-time databases, cloud functions, authentication services, and scalable backend infrastructure.

  • AI & Machine Learning:
    Proficient in leveraging tools like TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, and OpenCV for data modeling, image processing, and medical diagnostics. I’ve used these tools to build intelligent systems for breast cancer detection, menstrual health tracking, and environmental data analysis.

  • UI/UX Design:
    Strong understanding of design principles, wireframing, and user-centered interface development. I design intuitive, accessible, and responsive interfaces using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and implement them effectively in Flutter or web frontends.

  • Database & Backend Management:
    Proficient in managing relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Firebase Firestore. Skilled in data modeling, security, performance tuning, and writing optimized queries.

  • API Integration & DevOps:
    Solid experience with RESTful API development and integration. Familiar with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, version control with Git, and deployment automation. I also use tools like GitHub Actions, Docker, and Heroku.
